XXV Rowing Regatta 2022
The Rowing Regatta, the historic regatta between Turin's universities on the banks of the Po River now in its 25th edition, will take place on Friday, October 7th, 2022, starting at 5 p.m.
This year's special guest is the ESCP Business School crew.
In the 2021 edition, the crew of the Politecnico di Torino triumphed over the University of Turin in the women's race. In the men's race, the UniTo crew won over PoliTo, bringing the University to lead 14-10 on the Albo d'Oro
In addition, an agreement was signed in September between FIC, the Italian Rowing Federation, and CUS Torino. As a result, the University Sports Center of Turin was also included among the Italian clubs named "College Remiero". The agreement aims at protecting university students/athletes and developing continuing education and scientific research activities. It is therefore a specific sports qualification program shared between CUS Torino and FIC.
Full program of the 2022 edition:
- 5 pm: Blessing of the boats at The Rector's Office of the University of Turin, by the university ministry team
- 5:15 pm: Boat parade along Via Po towards Murazzi
- 6 pm: XXV Rowing Regatta (4 pairs female UniTo V PoliTo and special participation ESCP - 8+ male UniTo V PoliTo and special participation ESCP)
Afterwards, awards ceremony and DJ set at the Murazzi Urban Port venue.
