Curriculum Finance and Accounting

Objectives

The aim of the major in Business Management and International Marketing is to provide students with specialized knowledge on financial intermediaries, primarily banks and insurance, and on the financial management of international companies, from risk management, strategic planning to the execution of operations extraordinary finance. It also deepens knowledge of financial statements and quantitative skills in data analysis and management.

Competences and skills

We therefore expect that graduate are able to develop integrated reporting systems; assess and manage financial risk of both financial and non-financial companies; analyse the problems of evaluating investments and financing the company through debt or risk capital; evaluate risk factors and business opportunities related to internationalization strategies of large and small businesses; manage quantitative tools to support management decision-making processes, including techniques analysis of so-called big data.  Other than acquiring specific knowledge, students will develop key competences in interpreting the global macro-economic and geopolitical scenario of the various countries in which the company operates; acquiring the sources and tools of international law; dealing with problems concerning the quality, safety and environmental impact of the company's activity. Finally, the graduates must be able to acquire an excellent level of linguistic competence to manage all the processes indicated with adequate professionalism.

Expected outcomes

Students could ideally cover a variety of job positions in banks and financial companies, global consulting companies, multinational firms, small and medium enterprises operating domestically and abroad as well in start-up companies with an expected development of their career in a short period of time, such as: Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), business analysts, financial advisors, management consultants. The high-quality profile of the MBA students will make them suitable to work in global contexts and multi-cultural environments.
