Curriculum Business Management and International Marketing

Objectives:

The aim of the major in Business Management and International Marketing is to provide students with key notions highly requested by the main business functions of complex and international firms about brand and marketing management, innovation management, international management, business strategy and digital transformation, along with a focus on the establishment of an entrepreneurial mindset, which will support those students who wish to embrace a career as startuppers.  

Competences and skills:

The major in Business Management and International Marketing offers superior knowledge - both theoretical and empirical - on the main business areas within international organizational settings. Other than acquiring advanced knowledge about the strategic management of innovation, marketing, brand, digitalization, responsibility in international contexts, students will: develop key competences about the management of complex decision-making processes; enhance their communication, interpersonal skills and team work capacity thanks to the many occasions for group works and presentations in class; develop their critical thinking due to the involvement in case study analysis, elaboration, discussion and resolution;  boost their leadership skills; be able to identify strategic issues in global contexts and use specific tools to predict contextual pressing evolutions.  

Expected outcomes:

At the end of the major, thanks to the unique theoretical and empirical knowledge acquired, students could ideally  cover a variety of job positions in multinational firms, global consulting companies, small and medium enterprises operating domestically and abroad as well in start-up companies with an expected development of their career in a short period of time, such as: business analysts, management consultants, international market research consultants, marketing and brand managers, R&D managers, innovation and digital managers, CEOs, startuppers. The high-quality profile of the MBA students will make them suitable to work in global contexts and multi-cultural environments.
