Course objectives
The course is designed to systematically analyze international business and provide some frameworks for exploring opportunities and threats in their environments. Starting from the understanding of multinational corporations and global business environment, the course aims at analyzing firms strategic decisions (e.g. market selection, mode of entry) in foreign markets as well as at underlining the emergent role of foreign subsidiaries and cross cultural management.

It aims to prepare students for global leadership through the application of various models and use of tools to evaluate the potential in new markets, decide modes of entry, and develop go-to-market plans. Moreover, it provides useful insights and guidelines in order to understand managerial practices and challenges in an international scenario.

Course delivery
Lessons lasting 35 hours in total (5 CFU), which take place in the classroom with presentations and multimedia materials. They are also provided case studies, corporate meeting and interactive discussion.

Learning assessment methods
Knowledge and skills provided will be verified through a written test with questions in online mode on Webex via Moodle platform with open questions. The preparation will be considered adequate (with marks expressed out of thirty), if the student will demonstrate ability to synthesize, using the terminology required; whether on their own - so, without depending on the presentation of the arguments offered by the texts - will prove familiar with the management of internationalization aspects; whether you will be able to think on simple connections between various topics covered during the course.
