"Marcella Novo" Library: restoration of returning/borrowing items services

Published: Wednesday, June 10, 2020

Dear students,

please note that, starting from June 9th, it is possible to return the books previously borrowed at the SAA Library. The library will remain closed to the public and on-site consultation of the texts is therefore prohibited.

The service will be provided according to the following ways and limitations:

  • The return of the loaned volumes can be made at the following times MON - FRI 9.00 - 13.00 / 14.00 - 16.00
  • Without entering, the student must show up to the reception who will contact the library staff that will take care of the collection.
  • The volumes must be returned in a sealed envelope and left on the appropriate table positioned at the entrance.
  • The volumes delivered will undergo a quarantine period of 3 days before being put at disposal again
  • The loan service will be provided, only by appointment, to be requested by sending, from your institutional address, a request email to the library at the following address bibliosaa@unito.it specifying exactly the details of the volume requested (author, title and inventory number SAA). The SAA library will reply to the email by setting the requested appointment. At the same time, the student is asked to independently proceed with the booking of the desired texts on the Unito catalogue.
  • The student must show up, on the day and time scheduled for the appointment and be identified by the reception without accessing the school.

The reception will contact the library staff who will place the envelope containing the booked material and the loan forms on the special table positioned at the entrance.

  • Under no circumstances it will not be possible to consult the volumes on site

At the same time, the remote bibliographic consulting service will continue on articles of periodicals available in the databases.
